Lankhaar is a professional family business where customers have direct contact with the people behind the company. This makes cooperation personal and committed. We aim to deliver beautiful products while taking good care of the people and products involved. Step by step, we are building a company that is ready for the future. Below, we show how Lankhaar has developed over the years.
Due to the increasing sales of our propagation material, we are expanding with our own nursery in Tanzania through the acquisition of Fides Tanzania.
For the first time since the partnership with Bunnik Plants began, we take the sales of finished plants fully back in-house on 1 January 2024.
With the acquisition of Schlumbergera Flame Breeding, the colourful Christmas cactus is added to the assortment within each of our core activities.
The nursery in Poortugaal is sold. On Violierenweg in Bleiswijk, we build a modern, automated Kalanchoë nursery with more space for breeding and for welcoming customers from around the world.
Sales of Perfecta cuttings increase. We therefore expand to MultiFlower in Tanzania, creating more capacity and improving quality. From 2016 onwards, cutting sales also become international.
In 2010, we start Perfecta Breeding together with Agriom. In 2013, the first cutting from our own breeding programme is grown in Kenya, and we sell young plant material to other growers for the first time. From 2014 onwards, the nursery in the Netherlands runs entirely on Perfecta varieties.
We move to Groendalseweg in Bleiswijk and fully focus on growing double-flowered Kalanchoës. Two years later, we start a sales and logistics partnership with Bunnik Plants for finished plants.
The nursery starts on the Chrysantenweg in Bleiswijk, where single-flowered Kalanchoës are grown on a fully automated rolling container system.
